AI agents for operations and HR,nothing sent or paid without you.
AI for business operations pays off in the weekly legwork: the inbox, Monday's numbers, the handbook questions, every new hire's first week and the renewals nobody tracks. In Arclyx, five agents read your tools, do that work and post one message each. They draft emails for you to review and send, write pages, and never pay a bill.

The agents
How can operations teams use AI agents?
On the recurring work that keeps a company running and never quite gets done on time. Each agent starts from one sentence, reads only the tools and files it's given and sends one short message. Two also write something for a person to finish: a welcome draft in Gmail and a tracker page in Notion.
Weekdays, 8:00
Inbox triage
Every weekday, your unread mail sorted into needs a reply, FYI or can wait, with a next step for each reply.
Each takes a job that slips when the week gets busy: the inbox, the Monday numbers, the questions people ask People Ops, a new start and the notice date nobody worked out. They don't hand work to each other; each reads your own files at its own moment.
01
The week starts
Weekly ops brief compares last week's numbers and flags what moved before the staff meeting.
02
Mail comes in
Inbox triage sorts every unread email each morning and puts what needs a reply first.
03
Someone asks a policy question
Handbook answerer replies in the thread, quoting the shared handbook or naming who owns the question.
04
An offer is signed
Onboarding planner dates the first week, lists the intros and drafts the welcome.
05
The week ends
Vendor tracker lists what's due and what renews, and flags every passed notice date.
Safe by design
Can an AI agent pay a bill or email someone for us?
Not these five. None has a payment tool, and in Gmail their only writing tool saves drafts, so a person reviews and sends every email. Your tables, documents and inbox are only read; in Notion an agent can create new pages but not edit one. Each run's one message goes to you or your team, and every run is recorded.
Give each recurring job its own agent and let it run on a schedule, when someone asks or when another tool calls it. Here is a week of an operations team on Arclyx: each step is the sentence that built an agent, then what it posted. Try it runs a new agent once as a dry run first.
Monday, 8:00 · Weekly ops brief
“Every Monday at 8, compare last week's operating numbers with the week before and the 4-week average, flag moves over 10%, and post a short brief for the staff meeting to #ops-leads. The numbers are in our weekly metrics table.”

Wednesday, 10:12, asked in #ask-people-ops · Handbook answerer
“When someone asks, answer HR, IT and policy questions from our shared handbook, quote the section, and say who to ask when the handbook doesn't cover it. Answer in the thread where you were asked.”
Report it to IT right away: "Report a lost or stolen laptop or phone to IT within 1 hour at it-help@example.com or in the #it-help Slack channel, even outside working hours."

Question 2 · Hotel in London · 5.3
London is capped at 300 USD a night: "Hotels up to 220 USD a night (300 USD in New York, London and San Francisco)."
Thursday, 14:05, as a new hire was named · Onboarding planner
“When I give you a new hire's name, role and start date, build their first-week plan from our onboarding checklist, list the intro meetings to book with who and why, save a welcome email draft in Gmail, and send me the plan.”
“Every Friday at 3, list invoices due in the next 14 days and contracts renewing in the next 60 days with cost and notice date, flag anything overdue, write a dated tracker page in Notion under Vendor tracker, and post the totals and link to #finance-ops.”
Software that takes a recurring operations job, such as the Monday numbers or a renewal list, reads your own files and tools, and writes up the result. In Arclyx each one starts from one sentence, reads only what it's given and sends one short message.
How do you use AI in HR operations?
On the repeat work around people, not decisions about them: answering handbook questions with the section quoted, and planning each new hire's first week from your checklist. A person still sends the welcome email and books the meetings.
Do they work from our own files?
Yes. The handbook, the onboarding checklist and your weekly metrics, team, invoice and contract lists are uploaded to Arclyx as documents and tables, and each agent reads only the ones its sentence names. For channel @mentions, an admin shares the handbook with everyone and the agent with the org. Inbox triage reads the Gmail or Outlook you connect.
Is it suitable for a small business?
Yes. None of the five needs an HR system, a finance platform or a data team: a handbook, a checklist and a few exported lists are enough to start, and each agent is built from one sentence.
How exact are their numbers?
Weekly ops brief and Vendor tracker work out every figure from the rows they read and check them again before writing. In our tests their numbers, flags and totals matched a separate calculation of the same tables.
