Find the companies worth calling and why they fit now.
Prospect finder is an AI sales prospecting agent. It searches Apollo for up to ten companies that match your profile, checks each one's headcount and current sales hiring, finds the head of sales by name and title, and posts a sourced list to Slack. You build it in Arclyx from one sentence.

Why does sales prospecting take so long?
Because a filter is only a starting point. Search tools return companies that match on paper, then someone has to check each headcount, find out if they're hiring, and look up who runs sales. Done properly that's an afternoon for ten accounts, so lists get padded or skipped.
Without it
- Hours of filtering and opening company pages.
- Lists padded with companies that don't fit.
- Headcounts taken on trust from a filter.
- No record of why an account was picked.
With Prospect finder
- Up to ten companies checked against your profile.
- Headcount and hiring confirmed for each one.
- The head of sales by name and title.
- A source for every fact, and an honest count.
What does an AI sales prospecting agent check?
Four things for every company: does it fit, is it hiring for sales, who leads sales, and where each fact came from.
Company fit
Industry, headquarters and size from your profile, with headcount checked on each company's record.
Hiring signals
Current job postings, kept only when a sales role sits in your region. Titles and locations are listed.
Who to contact
The head of sales at each company, by name and title. Never an email or a phone number.
Sources and gaps
Where every fact came from, and which ones it couldn't confirm, marked plainly.
How does AI sales prospecting work?
Every run follows the same six steps, then posts one list. Only the last step writes anything.
- 1
Searches for matching companies
Industry, location and size from your profile.
- 2
Checks each headcount
From the company's own record, not the search filter.
- 3
Checks for sales hiring
At least one current sales posting in your region.
- 4
Finds the head of sales
Name and title only. No emails or phone numbers.
- 5
Fills one gap if needed
Confirms a missing fact on the company's own site.
- 6
Posts a sourced list
Each company with why it fits and where each fact came from.
- @prospect-finder find 10 more like this in Ontario
- First Monday of the month, before pipeline review
- Run when your ideal customer profile is updated
From one sentence to a prospect list in Slack.
Describe your profile, let Arclyx draft the agent, test it once on your real Apollo account, then read what lands in #prospects. Every fact cites its source.
Paste the sentence. Arclyx picks the tools it needs and asks what it can't work out.
What should it do?
Find up to 10 B2B software companies headquartered in Canada with 50 to 200 employees and at least one open sales role in Canada, name their head of sales, and post the list with a source for every fact to #prospects.
- Tools it can use
- Which region should a sales posting be in?
- Canada
It writes the instructions and connects the tools. Nothing runs until you say so.
- Reading your description
- Writing the instructions
- Connecting the tools

How do you use AI for sales prospecting?
Give an AI agent your ideal customer profile, a prospecting database and a place to report. It searches for matching companies, checks each one's size and hiring against the profile, names who to contact, and lists only the ones that qualify, with a source for every fact. In Arclyx that's five steps, starting with one sentence.
“Find up to 10 B2B software companies headquartered in Canada with 50 to 200 employees and at least one open sales role in Canada, name their head of sales, and post the list with a source for every fact to #prospects.”
- 1
Describe the job
One sentence: the industry, region, size and hiring signal you want.
- 2
Connect Apollo
Arclyx uses your Apollo account, so searches use your credits.
- 3
Connect Slack
Arclyx asks for the one channel it may post to.
- 4
Watch a dry run
Optional. See one full run before anything is posted.
- 5
Ask for a list
Mention it in Slack whenever you want a new list, or put it on a schedule.
Or start from one of these sentences
“Find up to 10 B2B software companies headquartered in Ontario with 20 to 100 employees and an open sales role, and post them to #prospects.”
“Find up to 10 fintech companies in Canada with 50 to 500 employees hiring software engineers, name their CTO, and post the list to #prospects.”
“On the first Monday of each month, find 10 companies that match our profile and are hiring sales, and post them to #pipeline.”
“Find up to 10 companies like Prospect A by industry, size and region, with a current sales posting, and say why each fits.”
AI sales prospecting vs other ways to build a list.
Doing it by hand, filtering Apollo yourself and buying a list each cover part of the job. Here is what each one does, and doesn't, do.
| By hand | Apollo search alone | Bought lead lists | Prospect finder | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Finds matching companies | One search at a time | Yes, by headcount, HQ location and posting titles | Depends on the list | Yes, up to ten a run |
| Checks each company qualifies | If there's time | No, it returns matching records | Depends on the vendor | Yes: headcount and a current sales posting |
| Says why each one fits | In your notes | No | Usually not | Yes, with a source per fact |
| Contact | Whoever you find | People search by title, no emails or phones | Usually names with emails | Head of sales, name and title only |
| Cost | Your time | Credits for company search; people search is free | A price per list | Your Apollo credits |

Is an AI prospecting agent safe to run?
It searches Apollo and public pages, never reveals contact details, and writes one message, to Slack or your inbox. Every run is recorded and has a spend ceiling.
Every run is recorded
Every step, in order
Each run keeps a trace: what it searched in Apollo, which records it read, and why it kept or dropped each company.
Every source, linked
The record or page behind each fact is listed in the run, so anyone can check it.
What each run cost
Tokens and cost are recorded per run and per agent, next to your plan's limits.
A ceiling on every run
A run that would pass its dollar ceiling stops and tells you, rather than carrying on.
It can
- Search companies, job postings and people in Apollo
- Read public web pages to confirm a fact
- Post to one Slack channel you name, or email you
It can't
- Reveal or enrich emails and phone numbers
- Email or contact a prospect
- Change anything in Apollo
- Email anyone but you
- Post anywhere else
AI sales prospecting, answered.
What is AI sales prospecting?
Finding companies and people worth contacting, done by an AI agent that searches, checks and explains. Instead of a raw export, you get a short list where every company has a reason it fits now and a source for each fact.
Does it send outreach emails?
No. It researches and reports. It never emails prospects, never adds anyone to a sequence and never contacts anyone. The only email it can send is to you. What you do with the list is up to you.
Does it find email addresses and phone numbers?
No. It names the head of sales by name and title only. It never reveals or enriches emails or phone numbers, so it never spends credits on contact details.
Does it use my Apollo credits?
Yes. It runs Apollo searches on your account, so it uses your Apollo credits. It never spends them revealing emails or phone numbers.
What if it can't find ten companies?
It reports the exact number that qualified, such as 4 of 10, rather than padding the list with weaker matches. Anything it couldn't confirm is marked unconfirmed.
How does it know a company is hiring?
It reads the company's current job postings in Apollo and keeps it only if at least one sales role is located in your region. The posting titles and locations go in the list.
Can I change the profile?
Yes. The industry, location, size and the hiring signal are all in the sentence. Change them and Arclyx updates the agent.
Can I get the list by email instead of Slack?
Yes. Arclyx can send the list to your own inbox instead of Slack, or as well as it. The email only ever goes to you, the person the agent runs for: it has no way to email anyone else.
Do I need to write code?
No. Describe the job in one sentence. Arclyx builds the agent, connects Apollo and Slack, and shows you a dry run before anything is posted.
