# AI agents for sales teams, the research done for you.

AI for sales teams pays off in the research around a deal. In Arclyx, three agents do it: Prospect finder lists companies with a reason to reach out now, Meeting brief researches everyone you're about to meet, and RFP finder checks public tenders against what you sell. Each posts to a Slack channel you choose and never contacts a prospect.

What lands in Slack, one example from each agent (placeholder companies):

- **Prospect finder · B2B software, Canada, 50–200 staff** (#prospects): Prospect A, Qualified. About 120 staff. Hiring an Account Executive in Toronto. Contact: VP of Sales, named in the list.
- **Meeting brief · Prospect A · Thursday 14:00** (#meeting-briefs): Prospect A, Who's coming. Their head of operations and a finance lead. Both joined in the last year. Expect questions on rollout and cost, not features.
- **RFP finder · week of 12 Oct** (#bids): Buyer A, Software development. Case management system rebuild. Closes 6 Nov. Estimated value $250k to $400k. Fits your core scope of custom web apps. Risk: asks for two public-sector references.

## What can AI agents do for a sales team?

Take the reading off your reps. One agent builds the list, one prepares every external call and one watches the tender portals. Each starts from one sentence, reads only the tools it is given and posts a short message with a source for every fact.

- [Prospect finder](https://arclyx.ai/agents/sales-prospecting) (Any time you ask; reads Apollo, The web; posts to #prospects): A short list of companies that fit your profile and are hiring now, with the head of sales named and a source for each fact.
- [Meeting brief](https://arclyx.ai/agents/meeting-prep) (Mondays and Thursdays, 7:30; reads Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, HubSpot, The web; posts to #meeting-briefs): Before each external meeting: who's coming, what their company is doing, your history in HubSpot and three questions to ask.
- [RFP finder](https://arclyx.ai/agents/rfp-finder) (Mondays, 7:00; reads Document search, The web; posts to #bids): Every Monday, the new public tenders that fit your bid profile, each with its closing date, value and the risk to weigh.

## Our own sales run on agents

Arc10 runs its sales and business development on Arclyx. One desk finds and qualifies prospects and drafts an email for a person to review; the other watches procurement sites and competitors.

- **Sales**: Prospector, Qualifier, Outreach writer. Hands back: Email drafts to review.
- **Business development**: Source curator, RFP scout, Competitor watch. Hands back: Projects worth a bid.

## Can an AI agent contact prospects for us?

Not these three. They research and report: Apollo is searched, never written to, HubSpot and your calendar are only read, and no portal is logged in to. The one email any of them can send goes to you. What you send to a prospect stays your call.

They can:

- Search companies and job postings in Apollo
- Read your Google or Outlook calendar and HubSpot
- Read public web pages and tender notices
- Post to one Slack channel you name, or email you

They can't:

- Email, call or sequence a prospect
- Look up emails or phone numbers
- Write to HubSpot or change your calendar
- Register for or submit a bid
- Email anyone but you

## How do you use AI agents in sales?

Give each recurring job its own agent, and let it run on a schedule or when you ask. Here is a week of a sales team on Arclyx: each step is the sentence that built an agent, then what it posted in Slack. Try it runs a new agent once as a dry run first.

1. **Monday, 7:00, RFP finder** ([RFP finder](https://arclyx.ai/agents/rfp-finder)). The sentence that built it: "Every Monday at 7, search CanadaBuys, MERX, BC Bid and our city portals for software, AI and data tenders posted in the last 7 days, check each notice against our RFP profile, and post the fits to #bids." It posted to #bids: RFP finder · week of 12 Oct.
   - Buyer A, Software development: Case management system rebuild. Closes 6 Nov. Estimated value $250k to $400k. Fits your core scope of custom web apps. Risk: asks for two public-sector references.

It posted to #meeting-briefs: Meeting brief · Prospect A · Thursday 14:00.

## AI for sales teams, answered.

### What are AI agents for sales?

Software that takes a sales job, such as building a prospect list or preparing for a meeting, uses your tools to do it and reports back. Unlike a chatbot, it runs on a schedule or when you @mention it, and every fact it reports comes with a source.

### Can an AI agent send outreach emails?

Not on its own. Prospect finder, Meeting brief and RFP finder never contact anyone outside your team. In Gmail and Outlook, agents write emails as drafts for you to review and send. Their own messages go to one Slack channel or to your inbox.

### Do they work with HubSpot and Apollo?

Yes, read-only. Prospect finder searches companies, job postings and people in Apollo on your account, so company searches use your Apollo credits. Meeting brief reads HubSpot deals, contacts and notes. Neither can change a record.

### Can it find prospects' email addresses?

No. Prospect finder names the head of sales by name and title only. It has no enrichment or contact lookup tool, so it never returns emails or phone numbers and never spends credits on them.

### Does it work with Outlook Calendar?

Yes. Meeting brief reads Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, finds meetings in the next three days with someone outside your company and briefs each one. It can't create, change or answer an event.
